About Me

My name is Amy Singh.  I am a teacher- librarian in Regina.

When I am not working, I love spending free time with my family, as well as giving myself new fitness challenges whenever possible! I love reading and finding new tools and resources on the internet.

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, and I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to follow my dream!

While working toward my degree, we welcomed our first daughter, and since becoming a teacher we have also had a son! Being a parent has really helped me to determine who I am and who I want to become as an educator.  I feel very fortunate to add this experience to my educator’s lens.

  1. Congratulations on making it to the last semester of your preservice experience. I agree that being a parent shapes who one is as an educator. I have known many fine teachers who did not have their own children, but for me, having children of my own was the AHA that made me see my role in my profession more clearly.
